My Story

result_1583616737986_edited.jpg

The first and only time I was published was in my first or second year of high school. Most girls wrote stories, made them into makeshift books and passed them around for all to enjoy. They were hand written in ink on lined paper and we tended to do our own crude illustrations. All this added to the charm. At that age, all children have vivid imaginations, getting them across in a way which grabs the audience makes all the difference. That said, we had little else to do in school when the gossip had (briefly) dried up and we got bored of schoolwork so these basic novellas were a welcome distraction.

I did not write again until an unvisited blog I started in 2011 (https://froot29.blogspot.com/), to keep me sane.

My one brush with publication was in a national newspaper, serialised over two days. I am not sure if this was two consecutive days or a week apart. I never saw it, but a friend swore to me that she did. Sadly I have no copies of it and very little recollection of it however;

There is a scientific law called the Law of Conservation of Mass, discovered by Antoine Lavoisier in 1785. In its most compact form, it states: matter is neither created nor destroyed.

It is out there somewhere…
